Rodger Fisher (Chairman)
Rodger Fisher is a management consultant based in Auckland. Prior to this he spent more than ten years as Managing Director of Owens Group Limited. Rodger is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Secretaries, the Chartered Institute of Transport, the Institute of Directors and the New Zealand Institute of Management. He is currently the Chairman of Eurotech Group Limited and is a Director of Tenon Limited, The Property Group Limited and Unison Networks Limited.. Rodger has been a Director of LPC since February 2003. He is a member of the Audit and Finance Committee and an ex-officio member of the Remuneration Committee. Rodger was elected Chairman of the LPC Board in November 2007.
Bill Luff (Deputy Chairman)
Bill Luff has spent his working life in government and multi-national business roles. Much of Bill's experience has been with British Petroleum (BP) in New Zealand and overseas. On return to New Zealand in 1996, he acted as CEO of Tasman Energy Limited. Today, he works as Chief Executive Officer for the Canterbury Development Corporation.  He is currently Chairman of Christchurch City Networks Limited and a Director of a number of private companies. Bill was appointed to the LPC Board in September 2003 and is a member of the Remuneration Committee. He was appointed to the new role of Deputy Chairman in November 2007.
Trevor Burt
Trevor has recently returned from overseas following a career with the global industrial gas company The BOC Group. Trevor held a number of senior leadership roles with BOC in Australia, China and the USA. Following the acquisition of BOC by the German global engineering company Linde AG Trevor joined the executive Board of Linde. He has extensive experience in strategic leadership in large organisations and since returning to New Zealand has taken up a number of governance roles including Chair of Ngai Tahu Holdings Corporation and directorships of Mainpower NZ Ltd and Silver Fern Farms Ltd. Trevor is a member of LPC Remuneration Committee and a member of the Institute of Directors.
Dr. Rod Carr
Dr Rod Carr hails from a commercial banking background and is currently the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Canterbury.  Previously he was Managing Director at Jade Software Corporation.  Rod has extensive experience with government bodies, including five years as Deputy Governor of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand.  He is a Director of the Canterbury Employers' Chamber of Commerce  Rod chairs the National Infrastructure Advisory Board and is a member of the International Business Forum.  He is also a Director of Joint Research Consultants (NZ) Ltd, GeoSpatial Research Centre, Taranaki Investment Management Ltd and Waingawa Forest Corporation Ltd.  
Alan Grant
Alan Grant comes from Winchmore, near Ashburton, and has been a Director of LPC since October 2001. He is Managing Director and majority Shareholder of Craigellachie Dairy Farms Limited which operates three farms milking 1,950 cows. Alan is a Fellow of the NZ Institute of Directors and is the Chairman of LPC's Audit and Finance Committee.
Barney Sundstrum
Barney was appointed to the LPC Board in October 2001 and became Chairman in October 2002, a position he held until November 2007. Since 1996 Barney has held various consulting and directorship positions. He is currently Chairman of A Verkerk Ltd, New Zealand Honey Producers Co Operative Ltd and Property Finance Securities Ltd and all subsidiaries. He is a Director of Merino Grower Investments NZ Ltd, Liquid Holdings Ltd RMB Trustee Ltd and Whitestone Cheese Ltd. Prior to becoming a company Director Barney assumed senior management roles at Ernest Adams, Mair Astley Holdings Limited, Waitaki International and the Goodman Group.  Barney is a member of the Institute of Directors and sits on LPC's Remuneration Committee.

Management Team

Peter Davie
Peter joined LPC as Chief Executive in 2003.  Prior to that Peter worked for seven years in Australia as Chief Executive of the Port of Portland.  He was also involved in the development of a new container terminal in Brisbane (with CSX World Terminals) and as a Director of the Adelaide Container Terminal.  Through these roles Peter has gained valuable insights into trends in international trade and port practices and developments. Peter is  a Council Member of Business New Zealand, Vice President of the  Canterbury Employers Chamber of Commerce and Director of Port of Portland (Australia).  
Darrin Bain
Darrin's association with LPC dates back to 1990, when he joined the company in the role of IT Support Manager, a position he held for eight years. He then moved to Gen-I, an IT integration company, where he worked in sales and project management. Darrin rejoined LPC in 2001 as CIO where he focuses on delivery customer service and business efficiency through the use of information technology.  
Bruce Hewitt
Bruce joined LPC in April 2006 to focus on asset management, capital programmes and environmental issues. Bruce began his working life as a graduate with TranzRail, moving up the ranks to become Senior Engineer in its national projects team eight years later. He then held numerous senior engineering roles in a number of infrastructure companies, ultimately becoming the Manager of Strategy and Business Development at NGC and Vector.
Kathy Meads
Kathy joined LPC in October 2004. She has extensive senior financial experience, gained in CFO roles across a broad range of business sectors including Ngai Tahu Holdings Corporation Limited, Telecom NZ Limited and Powermark NZ Limited. Through these roles Kathy has gained a breadth of experience in financial reporting, investment analysis, treasury management, risk, project management and governance which are invaluable as LPC continues to develop and face new challenges.  
Derek Nind
Derek joined LPC in December 2006, coming to us from the University of Otago where he had spent nine years actively involved in the transport and shipping industries. As a result of this work he has an excellent understanding of shipping companies and the demands of those needing to move product globally. Prior to working at the University of Otago, Derek held marketing and management positions at South Port NZ Limited, Alliance Group Limited and Cedenco Foods Limited.
Trish Telfer
Trish joined the Management team in April 2007, bringing with her more than 10 years' HR experience. Trish worked as HR Manager at Southland District Council before moving to the Christchurch College of Education in 2005, where she assisted the College through the challenges of its merger with the University of Canterbury. Before joining LPC last year Trish worked with Meridian Energy in a contracting role.
