MAINTENANCE TO TRUCK PARK-UP LANES SATURDAY 27 JANUARY
MAINTENANCE TO TRUCK PARK-UP LANES: SATURDAY, 27 JANUARY
CIVIL CONSTRUCTION COMPANY HIGGINS WILL COMMENCE MAINTANENCE WORKS AT THE PORT’S TRUCK PARK-UP LANES THIS WEEKEND.
Lyttelton Port Company (LPC) has contracted Higgins to complete maintenance works to repair several potholes which have appeared at the entry to the truck park-up lanes, located between Waterfront House and the Lyttelton Container Terminal (LCT).
Works will start late morning this Saturday (January 27) and be completed by early evening.
During the repair period there will be limited access to a number of the truck park-up lanes, and also for a 24-hour period after the work has been completed to allow the asphalt to cure.
Traffic management controls have been developed to allow trucks to access LCT while the repairs are completed. Please follow all signage directions when accessing the area.
LPC will endeavour to ensure a minimum of four truck park-up lanes will be available, and all efforts will be made to minimise disruption to operations.
The potholes vary in shape and size, and are caused by the expansion and contraction of ground water under the surface of the road.
Your patience and cooperation during this phase of maintenance works to the Port’s truck park-up lanes is greatly appreciated.
