LPC Financial Controller Cheryl Schofield has completed the Te Puna Manawa Women’s Leadership Development Programme, strengthening her leadership skills.
The 7-month programme focuses on building confidence, courage, commercial thinking, strategy and influence, helping participants grow as leaders across the Christchurch City Holdings Limited (CCHL) Group.
Cheryl says the experience was both valuable and challenging.
“It gave me a rare chance to step back from day-to-day work and think about how I lead, where I am heading and the impact I want to have.”
As part of the programme, Cheryl worked with others on a group project exploring Christchurch’s future over the next 50 years. The group presented their ideas to the cohort and the CCHL Executive Leadership Team at a graduation event on 30 April.
She says the connections made through the programme were a key highlight.
“One of the best parts has been meeting and learning from inspiring women across the Group.”
The latest cohort included 18 participants, the largest to date. Over the past 3 years, 50 women have completed the programme, and all remain within CCHL organisations.
Te Puna Manawa continues to grow each year, with staff encouraged to take part in future programmes.
