Lyttelton Port Company (LPC) is offering another chance for the public to see behind the scenes of the South Island’s largest international trade gateway with Port Bus Tours in January.
LPC invites the public to tour the Lyttelton Port, with all proceeds going to charity—Cholmondeley Children’s Centre at Governors Bay.
The tours will run from Tuesday, January 21st, to Friday, January 24th, during the upcoming summer school holidays.
There will be two bus tours each day at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Tickets are $5 per person.
This summer, Lyttelton Port Company will host boat tours that showcase the port’s operations from the water, with commentary provided by an LPC staff member.
You will see the Inner Harbour, where the bulk carriers berth, Cashin Quay, where container ships are loaded and unloaded and across the harbour to Ripapa Island and Diamond Harbour.
Tickets cost $5 per person; children must be accompanied by an adult. All proceeds go to Cholmondeley Children’s Centre. No exchanges or refunds are available.
