Part of The Woolstore is being transformed into a dedicated project office, creating a shared workspace for the teams delivering Te Awaparahi Bay Expansion and Resilience Project.

The space will include 24 workstations and two meeting rooms for LPC staff, contractors, consultants and advisors working on the project.

Chief Marine and Infrastructure Officer, Jeremy Homan, says bringing project partners together in one location would help teams collaborate more effectively.

“Having everyone in the same space helps with problem solving and risk sharing. It means people can work through issues together and make decisions more quickly,” says Jeremy.

The Woolstore will become a dedicated project office.

The location will also make it easier for external project partners to access the workspace because they will not need to go through the usual port entry process.

The fit-out is expected to be completed in early November. The project office could remain in place for five years, through to the end of the project.

LPC is also considering future uses for the remaining space at The Woolstore .
