LARGEST CONTAINER SHIP TO CALL AT LYTTELTON

31 October 2018 The Rio de Janeiro, the largest container ship to ever call at Lyttelton Port, arrived on October 27, and is a new class of ship to call at the Port. Read more

Penguin spying keeps at-risk birds safe

21 September 2018 Lyttelton Port is working with ecologists to protect penguins as construction begins on the new cruise berth. Ecologist Annabelle Coates gets down on her hands and knees at the western end of Cashin Quay shining a torch into holes in the rocky shore.
